DIY Centerpiece – Three-Vase Submerged Coral Petals
Items needed to create this centerpiece:
8, 10, 12 inch cylinder vases
Gold bling ribbon (3)
Coral satin ribbon (3)
Petals (in photo – cream, coral, & multi-color (yellow & coral))
Dash stickers (square) – OASIS® UGlu™ Adhesive
Attach Coral satin ribbon to each of the vases with the stickers. Then attach gold bling ribbon centered over the coral satin ribbon with stickers. Add rocks to vase.
Fill vases with water up to the ribbon line. I had purchased three colors of petals for this centerpiece. Mix petals together and grab a handful or two to submerged in water (sometimes it may be necessary rinse petals to get dye off so it does not tint the water/rocks). Place vases on mirror and put candles in between the intersection of the vases. Note: Be sure to move the candles a few inches away from the exact intersection because otherwise a carbon/smoke line will develop on vases when candles are burning.
Where to purchase these exact items to make this centerpiece:
Petals – Efavormart – Peach (multi-color), Ivory. The Peach/Coral petals came from a flower I broke a part and cut petals from it (it was the exact color I needed) – Purchased at Hobby Lobby but in-store. Does not appear to have the same flower to purchase online. However, I looked around and found these to be a pretty close match – Peach/Coral Petals.
Satin Ribbon – Hobby Lobby (every other week 50% off)
Bling Ribbon (gold) – 100Candles – I purchase this large wrap to save money and cut strips as needed. Mine are 5 rows thick.
Dashes – Oasis Adhesive – Wholesale Floral (large roll)
Vases – 100Candles (you can find all sizes that I use at this site. I buy locally but these prices are really good!)
Clear Acrylic Rocks – 100Candles (these are really nice, not as cheap as some, but look way better!)
Candles – 100Candles or Floralytes to place under the rocks (available in many colors) – 100Candles
Mirror – 100Candles – I purchased locally at a store no longer in business but this website has great prices! They also have large square mirrors if you want to search for “mirrors”.
